Yes, individual headphone level and MIC level are provided for both INCOM.

q.png013
When using headset 1 I/F on the PS-270 as DC12V input, what will happen to PS-270?

a.png
PS-270 is powered by DC12V and one head set is applicable to PS-270.
As a DC powered operation system, not only PS-270 but also PS-570 needs DC 12V power supplied.
And PMW-EX3 needs to be powered by BP-30/60.
When PS-270 is operated by DC 12V power, PS-270 can not supply the enough power to PMW-EX3.

q.png014
Is the camera adaptor PS-270 water proof?

a.png
No. Neither is PS-570.

q.png015
Can I operate the PS-570 with local DC power?

a.png
Yes. PS-570 accepts DC 12V in. In this case, both the base station and camera adapter must be
DC powered. The Ex Camera may be by BP-30/60 battery, too.

q.png016
What happens if the SMPTE optical fiber cable is detached from the PS-570, socket while in DC operation from PS-570?

a.png
The entire signal including power supply is automatically shut off for the safety.
  (Update more info later)

q.png017
Is it safe to disconnect or connect the fiber optic cable with the PS-570 power ON?

a.png
This practice is not recommended.

q.png018
While the PC-570 and PS-270 is powered by AC, can we connect the EX camcorder powered by BP-30/60 battery?

a.png
No problem. But it may continue the camcorder’s power consumption, draining the camera battery sooner.

q.png019
Can I use AC 240V power supply for this system?

a.png
Yes, the system automatically adjusts the power supply. The capacity is 85V to 245V.

q.png020
Dose this camera adaptor has T/C In and T/C Out?

a.png
Yes, but for using T/C, it is necessary to choose between T/C, RM or LANK on the PS-570 selector switch.

As a limitation, during this process, you lose the RM or LANC communication to control the camera. When you finish T/C setting, if you need camera control, you have to change the position of selectable Switch to RM or LA (LANC).

Note: Camera continues to run TC by its own internal clock. But TC may drift after prolonged operation. Sp please check TC once in a month.

q.png021
While using camera remote controller via RM or LANK, can we JAM the TC generator?

a.png
No. First Jam Sync the camera’s TC generator then switch back to camera remote.

q.png022
How to set the T/C In Out?

a.png
Please make sure that
1. T/C setting on the Camera is to be FREE RUN.
2. Position of the TC/RM/LA switch on the PS-270 and PS-570 is changed from RM or LANC to TC.

q.png023
My camera remote controller: RM-B150/ 750, MR-B1000 connected to PS-570 does not work, why?

a.png
Please make sure that
1. Camera remote cable is connected firmly between camera and PS-270
2. Position of the TC/RM/LA switch on the PS-270 and PS-570 must be set to RM (for PMW-EX3) or LANC (for HVR-Z7 or HVR-Z5)

q.png024
How many HD-SDI outputs does this system have?

a.png
One HD-SDI signal is transmitted form PS-270 and duplicated into two signals by the PS-570. Thus there are two HD-SDI outputs from PS-570 Base Station.

q.png025
When connecting multiple PS-570, do we have to connect Tally cables among all the Switchers?

a.png
One PS-570 which connected to switcher can get up to 5 Tally signals. You can make cascading connect for Tally - cable. Also, Tally cable is included in the package.

q.png026
Can I connect PS-570 to a CCU?

a.png
Yes. But not all CCU are compatible. So please check the compatibility first.

q.png027
Is it possible to feed the PS- 570 an audio signal form external mixer via the INCOM input line?

a.png
Yes, it is. By using 4 Wire input on the PS-570, it can receive audio from the mixer. The input audio signal level can be adjusted by the volume knob on the front panel.

q.png028
Is it possible for the NIPROS system to be operated under the 32°F(0℃)?

a.png
No, it is not. Required operating temperature for NIPROS system is +32 to 104F° (0℃ to 40℃) If operating the system below +32F°, we recommend using a warm-up bag. We do not guarantee operation outside the recommended range.

q.png029
What is the maximum number of fiber optical cable connection links?

a.png
Proved by measuring, 32links
: Connecting 100m x 12 +50m x 16 +20m x 5 =2100m (7,000 feet)
The value may vary depending on the cable manufacturer’s specification.

q.png030
How Do we store the Fiber optical cable?

a.png
When disconnecting the SMPTE fiber cable from the NIPROS system, cover the Limo connector on the SMPTE cable and NIPROS interface with caps equipped with cable and NIPROS system immediately. Always clean the cable, p following the cable manufacture’s instruction.

q.png031
Is fiber cable water proof?

a.png
It depends on cable itself, please ask manufacturer.

q.png032
Minimum bend radius?

a.png
This spec may vary from cable structure, please ask cable manufactures. SMPTE 311M-1998 (USA standard connector) states: 7x the diameter. Bending the fiber optic cable more than the minimum bend radius affects the transmission characteristics of the fiber, causing signal loss, or even permanent damage.

q.png033
Any caution for transportation or operation?

a.png
This system is a precision instrument and must be handled with care. Continuous vibrations or a strong impact may damage the system.

q.png034

a.png
The EX-3 is designed for operation with the Sony Remote Control models: RM-B750 or RM-B150.

q.png036
What is the Minimum power equipment for camera adopter PS-270

a.png
It is 85V 2A. Also, Maximum is 240V 2A.
The required power level varies from the cable length.
DC138V0.5A 33f (100M)
DC138V07A 155f (500M)
